We are building Noxx — a payroll and compliance tool that enables companies to hire pseudonymous talent, without compromising legal obligations.

Why? We believe everyone deserves the right to work with pseudonymity, free from bias and discrimination. Pseudonymity allows people to be judged based on their merits, not on biases like race, gender, age, etc.

We’re creating a secure environment that works just as well for hiring companies as it does for pseudonymous workers.

What is the difference between pseudonymity and anonymity?

As opposed to anonymity, unique pseudonymous identities accumulate reputations. They provide accountability for people’s activity. For example, you can accumulate your on-chain activity in a single wallet; no one can take it over, unless your private key is compromised.

Why is Noxx necessary?

We believe that the world is ready for the Pseudonymous Economy; it just needs the right tools to enable this shift. Right now, hiring talents without disclosing their sensitive information is difficult and, in many cases, impossible:

• Security risks
  • Companies can’t take the risk of hiring someone without first making sure that the person exists and that they aren't impersonating someone else.
• Legal compliances
  • Companies must follow laws and regulations in their jurisdiction. In the US, companies are prohibited from hiring people who live in sanctioned countries.
• Limitation of the existing verification system
  • Potential employees can’t selectively share the data necessary to prove their identity. They lose control over their sensitive data as soon as it is provided to a company.
